Overnight Camping - Aug 07

We went camping at the Lake Elmo State Park last night. This has become somewhat of a tradition. We typically go with a group of friends from church.

Last year, the whole family went (including Teagan at age 13 months). It was the hottest weekend in MN I can ever remember. Temps well over 100 degrees. So hot...oh, and Nikki was pregnant with Ava at the time. Most families bowed out for the second night (as did Nikki and Tess), but my brother-in-law, Dan, and our two oldest kids (each) stayed for another night. rough stuff.

This year, It was Dan and his two oldest, along with me and my two oldest. It proved to be a great night. Much cooler temps, a few rain showers, but nothing that made things messy. We only stayed one night since Nikki and I had a wedding to attend on Saturday.

Anyway, this is a pic of Dan's new tent where we slept, a picture of Karsten eating his second vitamin fortified donut in the trees, and a picture of Kiera who wouldn't stand still for ANY pictures.

Vitamin fortified donut? Sounds like those we sold at Como Raymond....we called 'em fat pills (I'm the evidence that they worked)...no worry about Karsten getting fat, anyhow!
